Windows 10: Problem after rollback windows 10 to 7

Hello everybody,
I have an ASUS laptop that is on Windows 7 Home Edition. I made the mistake of yielding to the insistent messages inviting me to use Windows 10. After I realized that this version does not work with Firefox or with kapersky nor with my printer, etc, I made the operation called 'rollback' of Windows 10 to Windows 7.

I have a problem: It seems I came back under Windows 7, but the touchpad of my computer is locked and left right keys of the same pad to. My wireless mouse also no longer running, the cursor remains frozen in the middle of the screen and i could not move it. It seems that the enter key works because i can walk out of standby but ctrl + a not working for example.

What I tried to do: relaunch my system 3.4 times, press FN + F9, F6, F4, num lock. Nothing worked. Help me please.

Windows 10 looping trying to restore windows 7

After problem getting 10 to boot, tech support got me to a point where it is attempting to rollback to Windows 7, but it appears stuck in a loop of attempting to restore 7. It has already been 2 hours since the rollback began. What should I do?

 

Rollback Windows 10 to Windows 7 after reset

Windows 10 kept failing and locking up various programs. Then it reached a point where the system couldn't boot up. Windows detected there was a problem and suggested a reset. After doing reset, I could not rollback Windows 10 to Windows 7, which operated
without any problems. I am not interested in keeping Windows 10 because it continues to have problems, but I can't rollback to Windows 7. Any idea how to workaround this? The Windows 7 came pre-installed on the PC a few years ago and I have no backup disc.

At least Firefox is worling pretty nicely on Windows 10. For Kaspersky, I don't know, but I think they will make their programs compatible, if they have not already done that. For the printer, it depends. I am myself runnign an HP printer from around 200 and it is working, so...

You say thatyour mice are not working correctly.

But the keyboar is working, right? If so, you can use the WIndows key and the start menu to go to the Device Manager. There you will have information on your mice. Both should be listed in the "Mouse" category. And when you view the details, it should for both say that they are functional. Is that the case?

If that is the case, then: Which driver versions are you using?

An idea might be to unplug the wireless mouse. Some touchpad drivers have a setting, which deactivates the touchpad, if an external mouse is connected. Maybe that is why your touchpad is not working currently...

 

Back up any files you don't want to lose to external media, if you can. Then think about maybe doing a factory reset of Windows 7. There should be a key you press during boot up to access it, like you do for BIOS access. Did you create any recovery media for it? If you did, you could boot from that to do the recovery. It's going to wipe out everything in the process and restore it to the out of the box condition.

 

Sorry, but RollBack doesn't always work. There's a separate thread dealing with that in the forums.

And, if factory reset doesn't work, either, then you're looking at doing a clean reinstall of Win7 -- which will remove all your data, settings, and applications. You would then have to contact ASUS to see how to obtain Recovery Media from them.
