Windows 10: Problem: Computer Unresponsive at Sleep or after Sleep

All: Occasionally (about 1 time per week or so), when my HP laptop begins to go to sleep mode (after a period of inactivity or when 'Start/Power/Sleep' is selected), the system never makes it to sleep. The screen goes to a solid color and a spinning clock like symbol spins at the middle of the screen. The system becomes unresponsive and there is no way to get back to an active system unless I remove the the battery or just unplug power and wait 10 hours for the battery to die. All buttons are inactive when the problem occurs. This situation appears to be random, and there are times when the system does go to sleep, but when I try to wake it after a few hours or even a day later it is unresponsive. Computer Wakes Up From Sleep And Goes Back To Sleep?

Maybe you have something configured to sleep when idle. Check that on your power settings.

 

Deep Sleep Problems

I have an Inspiron 700m centrino mobile intel notebook running Fedora Core 8. I just came into possession of this computer and just installed FC. Two problems I am having that I can not explain follow. One, the computer seems to go to sleep when not being used and will not always wake up when the keyboard is pressed. However, sometimes it does wake up. Two, the wireless internet card does not pick up the wireless internet (my other notebooks, sitting right next to this one, pick up the internet just fine). Any suggestions on how to fix this or am I just dealing with an old computer?
