    Problem in booting Kali Linux with windows 10 after changing pc hardware


    HelloAt first I have windows 10 Then I installed Kali LinuxBoth OS works fine on my old pc but now I decided to upgrade my pc hardware except Hard disk I upgraded successfully But in my prev pc Kali boot manager starts and asks for windows or Kali LinuxBut now in new pc It directly boots into Windows 10Please help meI have all my work saved on Kali Linux

    Problem when dual windows 10 & kali linux

    Hello.

    I had dual booted my PC which came with preinstalled Windows 10. I had dual booted with kali linux by creating a partition on the disk. After install kali linux.. I see this message:

    "Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device completions.

    grub> _"

    - Upon writing 'exit', I am able to enter Windows.

    - i boot windows 10 and I go to command prompt to run bootrec.exe /fixmbr .. but it's not solve my problem.

    I don't want to lose any data from windows

    1. I wish to know the reason behind it and how it can be removed.

    I have windows 10 on my device. I want to dual boot this device with kali linux. Will my windows 10 remain genuine even after dual boot or not?
