Windows 10: Problem in RunTimeBroker.exe , SystemSettings.exe , Missing Hard Drive D;

Hi, can someone help me to solve this problem. I’m having a hard time trying to retrieve my hard drive which it keeps missing in my system. I then encountered a window prompt saying :- ‘RunTimeBroker.Exe -Application Error’ and - ‘SystemSettings.Exe - Application Error’the system application won’t run I believe that some files are corrupted as I was trying to retrieve my hard drive files. I did all the scanning in terminal admin but it doesn’t work. The IT recommended me to just replace my laptop but all important files are in my hard drive. Hoping someone can help me with an actual resolved

Rundll32.exe issues | Hello !


First of, hello, just made an account for this one issue.

Now then, you can clearly see in the image what the problem is,





if for some reason you can't see the image, then the problem is Rundll32, which is a windows host process. It run's it self multiple times at the same time consuming all of my resources. This is a fresh copy of Windows 10, MalwareBytes show no signs of virus or malware on the file or the PC it self.

I've tried what was suggested in this thread: Solved CEIP - rundll32.exe high CPU use in Win 10? - Windows 10 Forums

But it didn't help, I would appreciate a little more help, please.

Process Explorer, doesn't show anything useful, just say's n/a or simply blank fields.

To assist you better, I would like to ask if you have installed any Antivirus in the Laptop.

I suggest you to run the program in compatibility mode by following the steps provided below and check if the issue persist.

• Right click on the “.exe” file of the program and select properties.
• Under Compatibility tab, check the option for “Run in Compatibility mode”.
• Select the Operating System from the drop down list.
• Click on Apply and OK.
