Windows 10: Problem installing specific software - claims Error 123 : the filename, directory name or...

First of all I want to say that I have a lot of programs installed on my computer, some of the were difficult installations, so formatting my computer is not a n option.

I recently bought a new synth which needs it's software. I downloaded the installer from the website, ran it as an administrator.
It asked me to :

1 choose a pathway chose c:\program files X86\studiologic
2 choose a start menu folder chose studiologic
3 choose if I want to create a desktop icon chose yes.

when I click continue, the following error pops:






Can't wrap my head around it. Why would it automatically try and install things on the onedrive folder? I couldn't find any way to control it. signed in to my microsoft account, signed out, went to onedrive on chrome trying to find options to control this but there is nothing.
I really don't know what to do.
Never had such a problem with any other installation attempt....
Can anyone please help me?

Since I am using window 10, the set up always say error 123: The filename, directory name, or volume, or volume label syntax is incorrect at the end. I really have no idea how to solve this.

The Directory Name Is Invalid

OK, here's my situation. I have a Western Digital (WD) My Passport Ultra external USB hard drive. I use this as a media drive on my WD TV Live Plus media player. For some unknown reason, the media player will sometimes corrupt files on the My Passport drive. The net effect is that a file is somehow changed into a directory.

The problem is when I attempted to delete/remove the corrupted file/directory, I receive a 'The directory name is invalid.' error.

I've tried the following:

• Run chkdsk /f; no errors found.
• Run WD Drive Utilities diagnostics; no errors found.
• Checked dir /x looking for an 8.3 filename; no luck.
• Taken ownership of the directory; no luck.
• Tried a few file unlocker utilities; no luck (not reported as locked and delete fails).
• Even tried an NTFS disk editor; no luck.

I've spent the last three hours googling a solution. Nothing!

Anyone else ever encountered something similar and found a solution?
