Windows 10: Problem launching apps/programs after installing March updates for win 11

Hey there,Today, I received a "Restart needed" notification after Win 11 automatically downloaded and installed updates. Sure! But once I restarted my PC, I faced this problem.Launching any app or program takes 2-3 minutes. And that includes "Windows Explorer" and "Windows Settings".I checked the performance, and even while the app is having a hard time being launched there is no strain on my computer and the usage of, pretty much, everything is under 20%.The only problem is launching the apps. Once the app is fully launched, everything works just fine. Is there a way to fix this, or at leas

Thanks, that is a very comprehensive list of suggestions. However, I have done almost all of the steps you've listed...except uninstalling the apps. Even if I deleted virtually all my installed apps (most were installed on the D drive anyway, except for the ones that would only install on C), it may leave just barely enough room to get to the 5G needed for the install...but then where would I be.....an operating system running on a tablet, with hardly any apps on it....an anchor! The problem with apparently no answer is WinSxS!

It seems that even though Win 10 will install and run on the small little 16G tablets, they can not be updated over a period of time as the Windows and WinSxS folder continue to grow out of bounds. Thus leaving a 16G C drive device fairly useless for any useful purpose. The only option (it appears), is to do a fresh reformat and install, with every new Win 10 upgrade down the line, thus starting with a small WinSxS each time, instead of one that balloons with every program install and software upgrade.

windows 10 updates-March 2018

I have March updates that will not install. The automatic updates for 2018-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1709 for x64 based system (March KB4088776) were activated and downloaded to my computer, but they will not install on shutdown/restart.
When I check for updates, it shows that the updates are downloaded, but when I click to uninstall, there is not a date for installation. I have researched the Windows suggestions for this problem. They tell me to remove the January 2018 updates (January
KB4056892) and then reinstall the March update. When I attempted to uninstall the January update, I could see the update listed in the check for downloads screen, but when I click uninstall, the January update has a different reference number. Please advise.
I have talked to my technology department and they can't determine next steps either. VERY FRUSTRATING. I need my computer for work.

If it is Cumulative Update for Windows 10 March 8, 2016 then I suggest you to remove the update and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below to remove the update.

  Click on View installed Updates.
  
• 
  There select the update and uninstall it and check if it helps.
