Windows 10: Problem regarding my Touchpad

Good Morning, I am having problems regarding my touchpad. I have done everything I could like deleting the touchpad driver and reinstalling it, etc. but the problem still persists. It sometimes stops working completely or most of the time starts to shake and press the controls on the monitor on its own. I am having trouble connecting a mouse as I mostly use my touchpad. Please help.

so i assume next steps are to have that program open that you suggested whilst using the laptop and then when the touchpad gets disabled to check if the keys have changed?

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you try to uninstall and then reinstall the driver from Manufacturer's website and see if it helps.

Follow the steps.

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the Mice and other pointing devices.
• Right-click on the Touchpad Driver
  and select
  Uninstall.
• Now go to the Manufacturer's Website and download the touchpad driver.
• Once, the download is complete, run the setup file and install the driver.

Thanks for trying I downloaded driver for touchpad, followed the steps you listed but it did not solve the problem - When I get to the last tab for the software, there is no checkbox for "disable touchpad if mouse is attached." I can completely disable the
touchpad by system, and you, advised against this so at least I had the warning not to completely disable touchpad. I have tried the other options suggested but to no avail. Frustrating!
