    I haven't used my desktop dell cpu dell910 for 4 months...     To resolve your issue with flickering desktop, we suggest that you update your display drivers with the steps listed below:

    • Right-click Start, then select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapters to find the name of your device.
    • Right-click the device and select Update Driver Software.
    • Follow steps to update display drivers.

    Update us on the result.

    • What is the make and model of your Microphone?
    • What is the model of your Laptop and Desktop?
    • Do you get any error message?
    • Did you make any Hardware and Software changes in your computer prior to this issue?

    I suggest you to refer the Microsoft link below and perform the troubleshooting steps suggested.
