Windows 10: Problem regarding windows activation

There are a lot of things I have to learn bout a computer. I am in my 60's and I didn't have to worry about it until my kids grew up and got married. So now the struggle is real. Well my can't activate Microsoft because my screen keep reading activate windows go to settings to activate windows and I do and it tells me that I need a product key. This is a new computer I shouldn't be having these problems what can I do?

I suggest you to activate the copy of Windows 10 via phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select your Region/Country.
• Select the Phone Activation option, and hold on for a real person.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

To run Phone activation please follow the steps below:
