Windows 10: Problem signing in to laptop after adding device to MS account

    Problem signing in to laptop after adding device to MS account


    In order to install Minecraft bedrock, I had to add my laptop as a device to my Microsoft account. After doing so successfully, I restarted my laptop.


    At the Sign-in page, I click "Sign in", the wheel spins and it looks like something is happening, then the sign in page reappears and is completely unresponsive - nothing happens when I click "sign in".


    I have tried rebooting. I have tried removing my device from my MS account and rebooting, restarting in safe mode to type my password neither my MS password nor original lical system password do anything, rolling back to before I made any of the changes... Nothing works.


    What can I do to sign into my computer?

    Switch laptop sign in from MS account to Local Account questions

    Hi, Ive just switched from signing in to my laptop with a Microsoft Account to signing in with a Local Account instead. My laptop was always listed as a Device on the opening screen along with a map showing its location when I looked in my Microsoft Account. Under Devices I could also view my laptop along with other bits of various information about the device and its location was always shown on a map there too. After signing into my laptop with my Local Account ..If I sign in separately to my Microsoft Account afterwards Ive just noticed that having switched to a Local Account my laptop isnt shown on the opening Microsoft Account screen anymore and its not listed in devices either. Is this normal behaviour? I was expecting to still find my laptop listed in Devices. Also...Under Update and Security/Activation..it used to say Digital Licence linked to a Microsoft Account. Now it just says Windows is Activated with a digital licence. Is all this normal behaviour if you sign into a laptop with a Local Account instead of a Microsoft Account?

    Adding a Device to Microsoft Account Requires a MS Account User

    Do not see why there is a problem.
    I only use a Local Account and sign on to my MS Accounts separately.
    There are devices registered on each account.
    Of course you have to sign in to an MS Account.

    Hello

    I have a desktop PC plus an XBOX one. Both signed into my MS account. Until today (well that's when I first noticed) both the PC and the XBOX one are listed under 'My Devices' when I login to the account.microsoft.com

    However now the XBOX one listing is missing. And it won't seem to re-appear. I tried checking for other devices and nothing picks up. I logged out of MS account and then back in on the XBOX one and still no joy. Any ideas why this might be occurring? I ended up manually registering the device and adding the serial number. Which after a while made it appear under 'my devices'. Although it still doesn't appear under 'Devices with apps and games that you downloaded from the Store', I can only see my PC still.

    this is strange behaviour!
