    problem when installing the classic notepad


    Hello and Welcome. I have installed classic notepad in windows11 from settings>apps>additional features. Now, when I uninstall New Notepad to use the Classic one, the option Text Document in New submenu does not appear in the context menu. What is the solution? Windows11 pro, the last update.

    but he doesn't activate ........................................... so please help me!!!! .

    Turn 'Word Wrap' off default in Notepad

    I can repro the issue. Notepad doesn't seem to query the "word wrap" setting. This may have happened after the KB5022913 update, I think. Please report this in the FBH. Until this gets fixed, you can switch to classic Notepad using these steps:

    1. Open Settings → Apps.
    2. Expand “More settings” and click “App execution aliases.”
    3. Disable the “Notepad” alias by turning off the radio button.

    Notepad on Windows 7\

    Suggestion would be uninstall then new install on Win7. Maybe an older version would work better? A list, maybe Version 7?
