Windows 10: Problem with bitlocker locking me away from my data on my second drive

After the screen of my laptop died, I brang it to a specialist, who opened it and identified the issue. But it would seem it activated bitlocker on my laptop I never heard of bitlocker, never wanted it and never accepted to have it activated on my stuff.After some research, I finally stumbled upon my recovery key, allowing me to unlock my laptop and getting access to my laptop again.The problem is that my other drive is locked by another recovery key, with a different ID. And this recovery key is nowhere to be found I checked 3 different Microsoft account, and my One Drive, to be sure.And

Windows 8.1 PRO unable to unlock Bitlocked drive

As you can see BitLocker Option is not highlighted for selection. It's like Windows does not even recognize this drive as a locked drive. And this drive does contain lot of Data.

 

Does bitlocker automatically lock the second drive when hibernating?

Hi. I have two drives, one with windows which is my main system, which has bitlocker. And another storage drive, which also has bitlocker. When I first boot up my PC, I have to enter my bitlocker password to access my PC. And then I also have to enter the bitlocker password for the second storage drive. This is good.

When I use hibernation mode, my computer switches off, and then when I load my computer back up, I will have to input the bitlocker password for my main windows drive again. But the problem is this time, the storage drive is already unlocked. It doesnt ask me to enter the bitlocker password for the storage drive again. It seems this is staying unlocked as soon as its unlocked the initial time.

So my question is, during hibernation, does this mean my storage drive is always unlocked, and technically somebody could take this drive out of my system, and the data will already be unlocked? Or is there a way to force the second storage drive to always be locked when I hibernate my PC? Just like it does with the main drive.

 

Need help - Bitlocker locked drive data recovery

Hi,

Unfortunately, I have lost my drive (E) data after running clean command using DiskPart utility and drive was locked by bitlocker.
Please help me to know, what are chances to recover data & how? where as I have bitlocker key.

Note: it has some changes to the drive (E) after data losses.
