Windows 10: Problem with BSOD when loading in to a map on BF2024

I suddenly started to get the BSOD crash when in a match in Battlefield 2042, I found a fix through the event viewer that said Microsoft GameInput stopped working. I fixed this by deleting the older version that was on my C:\Program Files x86 folder. Then I could play the game for a couple days and now I am getting the BSOD during the loading screen before the match. This wasn't the case before and in other programs or games I don't have this issue.I also scanned the computer for any issues on storage which also isn't the case. I already uploaded the minidump files in a onedrive. Link to DMP

COD:WaW, Slow map loading time??

I've read a few posts suggesting a possible problem with the load time of Call of Duty World at War multi-player maps. I've tried this for myself and averaged about 22 seconds. Others have posted times frames well over 40seconds. However, others say 5 seconds. What kind of time frame are you getting when loading up a map in COD WAW?

 

Problems with mapped drive

Well I got one step closer to getting the mapped drive working.

Instead of using Windows 10 File Explorer to map the Network Drive, I do it manually from a Command Prompt run as Administrator:

net use G: \\XP07\XP_Dev

After executing this command I can copy files to and from the mapped drive to the system disk. And while this is a huge step forward there are still other problems with the mapped drive.

Opening a jpg file in Paint by clicking it from File Explorer loads the picture just fine, but I can't save it. When Paint tries to save the file it can't find the mapped drive, it doesn't even show up when browsing for a place to save it.

There are a few links on the web discussing this very issues of not being able to browse a mapped drive from within a program. There is supposed to be a registry fix for this by adding EnableLinkedConnections and settings it's value to 1 but it didn't work.

So the next step after getting File Explorer working is to somehow get programs to see the mapped drive.

 

COD:WaW, Slow map loading time??

Dude that looks about normal. Loading times depend on the HD now. It used to be more CPU orientated. Run in RAID 0 and you'll cut them times in half. *Toast :toast:
