Windows 10: Problem with camera on new laptop

The webcam USB2.0 HD UVC Webcam with my new laptop does not seem to work. If I go into Zoom for example I am just getting a camera symbol with a crossed line through it.I have used the troubleshooter.I have gone intoathe privacy and security settings, and given Zoom permission to access the camearI have tried temporarily disabling the McAfee virus protection.I have checked to see if driver updates are required. to reset the Camera app on your Windows 10 computer:

• Press the Windows Key + I to open the Settings app.
• From the options presented select System, then click on
  Apps & features located on the left pane.
• Locate the Camera app from the list and select it.
• Select the Advanced options link and then choose Reset.
• When the pop-up notification is shown just click on the Reset
  button once more.
• Once all the steps are complete, kindly reboot your computer.

Completing this steps will clear the cache of the Camera app and allow it to re-recognize any video capture devices connected to your computer.

Camera on Laptop Not Working

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ outdated drivers on your device.

Let us try few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to check if there is any yellow exclamation point on WebCam in Device Manager.

• Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand WebCam drives under
  Imaging devices , right click on the driver.
• Click on Properties and check the
  device status.
• If not, select Update Driver Software.

Step 2: I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
