Windows 10: Problem with Century font

There is an issue with using the Century font in both Word and Photoshop - colons, semi-colons and hyphens are all set too high - see image. They should be lined up with the x-height of the letters, shown in red on the Century font, and in blue with other correct fonts. This happens in both Word and Photoshop, on a Windows 10 PC bought 2020 and also a Windows 7 PC from 2012 - so the issue is with the original font, rather than being a corruption. I don't suppose this is very high on Microsoft's priority list - in fact, I doubt it will even get on the list at all! So I'm not expecting

On the internet, it's all about finding the right search term. I used: is the century gothic font public domain

I quickly learned that Century Gothic belongs to Monotype. You can license it from

Monotype's website.

Hello,

I've been researching for about an hour about this without any luck.

I have Windows 10 and Century Gothic font came with it.

What I'd like to know is pretty simple- can I use this font for commercial purposes, to create a design for a book cover for a client?

The font would be used for the title and author name and the cover will most likely be published through CreateSpace.

• Download the font type you want to install.
• Right click and click on install.
• Check if you are able to view the fonts in documents.

Or

Step 2:

• Download the font type you want to install.
• Open Control Panel.
• Click on fonts.
• Now, drag and drop the downloaded fonts in the font’s folder.
