Windows 10: Problem with crackling sound after windows 11 update

Hello guys,I have an XPS 13 9305. It was eligible for the windows 11 update. Shortly after I updated, I started having issues with crackling sound from the laptop speakers. This problem does not occur on any external speakers, wired headphones nor Bluetooth headphones. It exclusively happens on the laptop speakers. I looked around for help on some old threads and asked the Dell support team for help from their SupportAssist application. They guided me on how to uninstall the Realtek sound driver from device manager and reinstall it. Unfortunately, the problem did not disappear after doi

New Buzzing Crackling Sound

Realtek crackling sound on Windows 7

It's not a problem with win 7. It can be a problem with the device driver which is supplied by the device manufacturer and not Microsoft. You said "No joy, still crackles". What steps did you take? Did you at least try the Ubuntu live CD? Anyway, like others have said, I think for most people the most sensible thing to do is to get a cheap usb sound card rather than going back to the most terrible OS ever. But hey, to each his own.
