    Problem with cursor Windows 10

I had purchased a brand new Dell laptop with Windows 10 back in August and since that time, I have been dealing with cursor lagging/freezing issues. I have spent countless hours searching for a solution and talking to Dell without any fix. Any ideas?

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Problem

After I updated Windows 10 today as I was instructed, I can no longer get on the internet. My wifi no longer shows up to click on it. It was working fine until I allowed the install. I have tried restarting the HP Spectre x 369 laptop and the router,
but this has not helped. (I am using a borrowed Apple computer to search for a solution.) I need help to get back online. Can anyone help or tell me who I might contact for help?

  3. Windows 10 login problem

Hi. I installed windows 10 on my friends computer, and his computer has a problem with overheating, so when I wanted to type his account details, the computer shut down. Then when I reopened it, is displays "Other User" and under are two columns, where
it says to type the email and the password. I tried three different accounts and it says that the password is incorrect. Please, help!

look for a newer update for your mouse.....from Dell......if that doesn't work...try running from a command prompt admin SFC /SCANNOW and see if it finds any errors.

Drivers and software is up to date, doing the scan as we speak.

    *Edit*
Command prompt did not find any errors.

Well then if Windows has no errors....and your mouse drivers are from Dell....and have not been replaced by Microsoft, because MS has a habit of replacing drivers on every update with their own, then I am out of idea's. Did you check for new updates yet?? Assuming you are running Windows 10.

    Problem with cursor Windows 10

Yeah my laptop is updating, but the problem is progressively getting worse as the cursor only lasts a few seconds before freezing.

One other thought.... can you replace this mouse on your laptop...or is it built-in type? If you can replace your mouse, with another one, I would do that, the prices for mice are cheap. Get a Logitech mouse.

I've never had a mouse, it's from the trackpad.

Well then it could be an internal problem with your laptop. You said its new, so I assume its under warranty ?? Or you could try plugging in a different mouse into a usb port and see if that works. Does sound like something is wrong with your laptop.

The problem with that is this is already my second laptop as the original one I bought had internal problems, so this is the one I got under warranty.

Well Dell should fix this laptop and should not give you a hard time. This is just my opinion, but I would be calling them tomorrow. Explain what is happening to them again....and that you want this issue fixed ASAP. I would also make sure no personal information is left on your laptop if you have to send it to them. This laptop must have a USB port, either use a mouse you might have around, or just buy a cheap one that uses a usb connection. Might cost 15 to 20 bucks. That way you at least will have a mouse that does work, until you have Dell repair your laptop. Soon as you plug in the mouse, Windows should see it and install a driver for the mouse.

I have been in contact with Dell and they are sending me some parts. Any idea on what they would be? If I did get a us but mouse, would the cursor problems go away or would they continue?

That's a good question, but it would tell you if its because of the mouse in your laptop, or something else. If the external mouse does not work......I would be surprised. Maybe you could borrow one from a buddy, just for a test?? Heck I have 4 or 5 mice around my place, because of buying newer models etc. Would be interesting to see just how that 2nd mouse would act thou.
You can disable your mouse just by clicking on its driver in device manager and choose Disable.....do NOT delete the driver, just disable the driver.....then you can enable it later .....
