Windows 10: Problem with download and installation of 2025-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version...

Been battling for over 2 days for 2 different things in relation to the latest cumulative update for Win 11 KB5053598.I have an extremely fast internet connection at home, and it takes forever to download it.When it's finally done with the download read: multiple failed attempts and leaving it to continue downloading overnight, and I attempt to install it, it begins the installation process but then after a few seconds it starts to request a new download. It cycles this way continually and is unsuccessful.

Why would an in-place Upgrade solve this problem? I did all the steps listed here but not the in-place update. The error I see in the Windows update window is "Download error - 0x8024401c" for 2023-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5023706). Its been logging this error since 3/17/2023

Note that on 2/15 everything seemed fine:

2023-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022845)

Successfully Installed on 2/15/2023

2023-02 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5022497)

Successfully Installed on 2/15/2023

 

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

V 10.0 build 10240
