Windows 10: Problem with dvd writer in HP dv 6700 laptop

I have been trying for some time, to work out how I can fix my dvdrw in my laptop, it just suddenly stopped working, although it still ejects with the button, so power ok and the disk spins inside for a few seconds, when closed. I bought. A replacement dvdrw, but same story, read all sorts of stuff about hi and lo filters in the registry, although couldn’t find anything......so decided to clean install windows 10, but made no difference. There are references to a cd rom in the bios ( not much in the way of options in this bios ) but not sure if these are simply default options regardless if a drive is recognised or not.

if the connection to the MB ok, I could fit a caddy SATA to IDE, and fit an ssd.....but if the hardware is faulty it would be a waste of time.

any ideas please ?

HP dv 6000 Ram upgrade problem

I bouth new ram for my laptop HP dv 6000 (6835er). Currently there is 512mbx2 5300.
When i put 1gbx2 6400 laptop don't want to start.
When i install only 1gb 6400 or 1gb (6400) + 512 mb (5300) it's work fine.
How i can make to work 2gb 6400?
Maybe i should try to update bios?

 

PROBLEME with BLUETOOTH on NOKIA 6700 CLASSIC !!!

I HAVE A PROBLEME WITH BLUETOOTH ON MY NOKIA 6700 CLASSIC ........... BLUETOOTH can't be activate.

• menu
• settings
• connectivity
• bluetooth
• activate

but he doesn't activate ........................................... so please help me!!!! .

Samsung Ultra Thin DVD writer Se-218BB does not work

Andre, I figured it out and opened the CMD in Admin then pasted the information. It was successful but the Samsung DVD writer tray still will not open. The laptop is still not recognizing the DVD writer. Any other suggestions? Thanks
