    Problem with 'Error loading sound libs"


    Hello. I'm trying to access a European Conference site which requires downloading a "starter" called IGR / Bruno Gruning. Once downloaded, I keep receiving an error message stating: "Error loading sound libs". I then can still access the site but many basic functions are simply not working, making my connection useless. It used to work fine with Windows 8. I'm now with Windows 10. I was told it could be a question of using Firefox or Explorer instead of my usual use of Chrome but it did not solve the problem. I have also tried to lower the level of security on Norton but to no avail.

    Please answer these questions to assist you better.

    • Have you install all driver updates?
    • Do you get any error message?
    • In which browser are you facing this issue?
    • What is the make and model of your computer?

    I suggest you to refer the Microsoft Article below and perform the troubleshooting steps suggested.

    • What Is the make and model of your computer?

    Sound problem

    Hi,

    We need to investigate further so that we can identify the cause of the issue. We suggest running the Troubleshooter and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

    • Type and select Troubleshooting on the Search bar/Cortana.
    • Click Hardware and Sound.
    • Select Playing Audio under Sound.
    • Follow the steps that will be provided.
    If the steps does not work. We suggest downloading a fresh copy of the audio driver from Realtek and see if it helps.
