Windows 10: Problem with installing ATI Mobility Radeon 4670 driver on Windows 10 on iMac 10,1 Late 2009

I have installed Windows 10 Pro 64-bit on my 27" iMac late 2009. Everything is working perfectly well except for the graphic card driver. I have tried plenty of drivers and also Windows recommended driver update, though none has worked yet. For instance, I happily let windows 10 update the driver, but then after installing the driver the screen went completely black. So, I went to Windows Safe mode, uninstalled the driver and got Microsoft Basic Display Adapter back again. Right now, I have installed a random driver that works yet keeps lagging and the video speed is too poor while playin

iMac (late 2009) and Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. driver update for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850

Hi all!

Windows Update installed today update for ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850 driver vers. 15.200.1060.0.

Update is installing fine, but after install driver is changed to "Microsoft Basic Display Display Adapter" and max. resolution is 1920x1400.

Under device manager Display Adapter is still ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850.

Restoring driver version to previous version (8.970.100.9001) is working fine and I can select correct resolution

Anybody else having same issues?

ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 not compatible with Windows 10?

I used your suggestion and installed a 32bit version of the driver to update my late 2006 iMac ,Intel Core2 Duo which has the ATI Mobility x1600 Radeon chip on the motherboard. Since Apple will no longer support upgrades past OSX Lion I decided to go
with Windows. Installed W7 first but then decided to go all the way with W10. The driver Windows installs does not support the resolution and so I searched high and low and found an earlier version of the driver, but it was not stable. The 8.561.0.0 - 32bit
version (on the MS Catalog) of the V5200 Windows 7 driver works perfectly and supports all Direct X functions. Thank you so much for your insights.

  Drivers (Video) 25.08.2006 7.14.10.8333 - 3421_c6c890a15113b794e88f5614daec1276499fa94b.cab
• Unzip file 3421_c6c890a15113b794e88f5614daec1276499fa94b.cab
• Enter to unzip folder
• Right click on file "atiilhag.inf"
• Select - "Install"
• Be Happy!!!
