Windows 10: Problem with installing windows 11 on my b550 , am4 with a 2tb ssd m.2

So I have this common problem where I have to install a driver for my ssd m.2 . I tried a lot of things such as the amd drivers, the msi ones even no name ones from youtube but nothing is working. Windows is just giving me an error when I select a driver folder. Yes, the ssd is detected by the bios and I have UEFI. I also tried different modes including raid. I just need serious help because I have no idea how to proceed and nothing is helping. Thanks in advance.

Windows 11 PRO BSOD on NVMe SSD (Mobo MSI B550 Gaming GEN3)

We are having a problem when installing Win 11 PRO onto the MSI B550 Gaming GEN3 via M.2 NVMe SSD.

The PC freezes and then Blue screens everytime we go into Windows.

We have installed latest BIOS available on website. All drivers are updated.

If we install Windows on SATA SSD everything works fine.



The setup is the following:



AMD Ryzen 5 5600G Box 3,9 GHz up to 4,4GHz AM4 6xCore 16MB 65W

with Radeon Graphics with Wraith Stealth Cooler Zen 3

MB MSI B550 Gaming GEN3 (B550,AM4,ATX,AMD)

DDR4 16GB PC 3200 CL16 CORSAIR KIT (2x8GB) VENGEANCE LPX B retail

WDS100T3B0C M.2 1TB WD Blue SN570 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x 4

Zalman T6 ATX Mid Tower Case

Thermaltake TR2 500 W ATX Power Supply



We have google for this problem and there is no real explanation why this happens.



What can be the problem? How can we solve this? Some kind of inconsistençy between the OS and the NVMe drivers?

How to migrate OS from M.2 SSD to larger M.2 SSD - but only have one M.2 SSD slot.

Hi community,

I currently have my Windows 11 Home OS (Dell digital license) installed on my single M.2 NVMe SSD slot (256GB 2242 BC711_NVMe_SK_hynix).

I am now running out of room to install other applications and so I purchased a new Crucial 2TB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD (fully compatible) to swap it out.

The problem I am hoping someone can help me with is, in order of preference:

1 - Is it possible to clone my current Windows 11 Home OS install from my current M.2 to my new M.2 and how best to go about it?

I would like to keep all my currently installed applications and preferences if possible. For personal files, documents, pictures, videos, spreadsheets, etc. - I can save all of these separately.

2 - If (1) is not possible, what is the best way to do a clean install of Windows 11 Home on my existing Dell system, without invalidating my digital license and how best to ensure I have all the Dell drivers necessary for a reinstall?

In other words, making it seem like a new Dell system with Windows 11 Home installed on a 2TB M.2 NVMe instead. Some Dell apps are useful.

Pretty sure the above is not 100% clear but I did my best to try and explain. Please let me know of any missing details required for an answer.

SATA SSD and M.2 SSD

i was with a ssd sata and now i have ssd m.2, i formatted and put windows 11 in m.2, but i did not remove the ssd sata, i can only boot windows with the ssd sata connected, if i remove it windows does not boot to m.2



obs: windows was installed on m.2 but the ssd sata was still connected, but windows was 100% installed on m.2, is there any way I can set m.2 as primary? (when i removed the ssd sata it did not recognize windows)
