Windows 10: Problem with Java icon in control panel

Hello,


couple days ago, i reseted my pc windows 10, but before that i took some applications and copied them to disk local D, when i reset it , i installed java jdk and jre in my computer, i added the paths to the environment variables, installed eclipse, and it s working fine so far.


But,


1.i don t find configure java


2.whenever i click on the java icon in the control panel, a message appears saying:

“the system cannot find the registry key specified: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.8.0.201”


Has this a relationship with Oracle? Should Oracle be in a specified path?


i don t really understand, please do help me!

• Under Advanced startup, select Restart now.
  
• After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select
  Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings >
  Restart.
• After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 5 or F5 for
  Safe Mode with Networking.

Problems with customising Control Panel applet icons


Hello Guys,

I am having some problems with the following:

1. I'm unable to change the Mail applet icon in the control panel even after I've pointed its registry key to the desired icon. It just wouldn't change.
2. I'm unable to find the Flash Player (32-bit) GUID. Without this GUID, I cannot change its applet icon.





Does anyone have any suggestions?

Appreciate any advice.

Step 1: Opening Control Panel in Windows 10.

  Open Run command box by simultaneously pressing Windows and R keys (Windows + R).

  Control and then press Enter key to open the classic Control Panel.
  

Step 2: Access Control Panel in Windows 10 from desktop.

  Right-click on the Start button (Windows logo button at the bottom-left corner of the desktop) and then click Control Panel to open the same.
  

Step 3: Launch Control Panel using search.

  Open Start menu or screen.

Step 4: Create Control Panel shortcut on desktop.

• In the Type a name for this shortcut box, type Control Panel, and click Finish button. You can now double-click on the Control Panel icon on the desktop to quickly launch the same.

Step 5: Pin Control Panel to Start or taskbar.

  In the Start search box, type Control Panel.
  
• 
  When you see search results, right-click on Control Panel entry and then click Pin to Start to pin it to the Start menu or screen.
  

Note: Clicking Pin to taskbar will pin the Control Panel to taskbar.
