  1. Problem with Login After Windows10 Recovery - Reset using local storage due to Remembered...

I attempt recovery of a windows10 PC by Resetting Windows on it, selecting deletion of all personal files. At restart I attempted to login to my Profile, which the machine had remembered and was the only choice presented to me. Upon both entry of correct PIN and upon entry of correct windows password in each case the PC said the profile was reset. There was no option to login to the Reset Windows, No possibility of creating a new User offered. How do I move forward with the PC. It seems I am locked out of doing anything with it.

    :)

  2. Cannot remember password and PIN to login

    Hi,

As per the query, I would like to inform that you require to create a password prior to the creation of the PIN. If you remember the password, click on the sign-in options under the password box in the login screen.

If you forgot your Microsoft account password,
    follow these steps.

If you don’t have a Microsoft account and forgot your local account password,
you can’t recover it. Instead, you’ll need to reset your PC.

Warning: Following these steps will remove all of your data, programs, and settings.

    • Start your PC and select the Power icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the lock screen.
    • While holding down the Shift key, select Restart.
    • On the Boot options menu, select Troubleshoot > Reset this PC > Remove everything.
    • Your PC will restart and will reset itself.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards

Factory Reset Windows10: There was a problem resetting your PC FIX

How to Factory Reset Windows10 or upgraded to Windows10 from Windows7 or 8.
This is also a FIX for the ERROR: There was a problem resetting your PC.
This fix is only for Legit Authorized Copies of Windows 7, 8, or 10.

Hey all, I upgraded to Win10 from Win8.1 when it was released for free upgrades in 2015. It is now 2016 and I wanted to Factory Reset my PC so I can start fresh again. I attempted to do it from Settings/Update and Security/Recovery/Reset this PC as suggested by Microsoft but I received and error saying "There was a problem resetting your PC. No changes were made." After searching the web I found many different fixes but they all seems so involved. Making a boot flash drive or burning a DVD and use their software... There is an awesome tutorial on this forum called Windows 10 Clean Install but I like to KISS when I can (Keep It Simple Stupid) so I decided to check with Microsoft.com before I started that process.

THE SIMPLE FIX I FOUND THAT WORKED FOR ME:
    Go to: Windows 10
    Click the "Upgrade Now" button.
Follow the prompts and you're good to go.
Works with Windows 7, 8 and 10. Simple enough for me Problem with Login After Windows10 Recovery - Reset using local storage due to Remembered... :)

I wasn't able to find this simple suggestion when searching the web so I felt I should post it in hopes it helps someone too Problem with Login After Windows10 Recovery - Reset using local storage due to Remembered... :)

Problem with Login After Windows10 Recovery - Reset using local storage due to Remembered...

Stuck at safe mode login due to forgotten local password

I am hoping someone can help me so I don't have to do a fresh install.

I upgraded my 64 bit Windows 10 Pro to 1903 and my AMD driver started causing reboots reporting issues with Wattman. Solutions online pointed to clearing the driver using AMD's driver tool. Well it booted me into safemode without networking and is now asking for my local login information. Apparently I can't remember the password since I have used the pin to login forever.

This wouldn't be a big deal, but I can't get it just to boot normally. I even tried rolling back to the latest snapshot, but immediately after it still boots to safe mode. There is no reset password option either. I don't know if I didn't setup the 3 questions, but checking my other PC it doesn't even give me the options to set or change the answers. I am the admin and they are both home PCs. It is using my real name rather than a username so it is almost like an offline Microsoft Account, but it didn't accept my MS password which I verified on my other PC.

Does anyone have any suggestions on either how to force it to boot into normal Windows? I can then hopefully reset my local password.

If not any suggestion on removing or resetting the password another way?

My last resort will be just to buy a new SSD and do a fresh install, but I obviously don't want to do that if I can avoid it.
