Windows 10: Problem with Microsoft 10 locking up

I think my windows 10 computer is getting worse. The updates usually only lasted 15-20 minutes. Today it has been taking over an hour before it finishes what it is doing. I suspect it is the new windows 10 update. There is no warning or message that an update is occurring, That is rather irritating.


I'm writing this right now on my old windows 8 computer and boy am I glad that I didn't update it to windows 10. If these problems continue on my windows 10 computer, I think I will have to look for another non-microsoft operating system.


Please give me the ability in windows 10 to schedule these updates when I don't want to be using the computer. It's not very productive to wait on the computer. I schedule in my computer time and when that time is over I have to quit and do other work.


I have started putting on the computer first thing in the morning so I can go do something else while it freezes up. However that doesn't work because the updates seem to happen whenever I want to use the computer.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

 

Microsoft Selects Dolby Audio for Windows 10

it would've been great if microsoft added HEVC decoders, LAV filters along with other codecs with Windows 10, and developing WMP to be better than VLC, KMPlayer and such sorts of media players.

Nevertheless, this is good step for microsoft, by far.

>> No, at least, I do not see one.

>> No, because I cannot take a screenshot while it's trying to lock the screen.
