Windows 10: Problem with Microsoft Precision Mouse after updating Windows 11 to 24H2

As with other replies and solutions, I think the issue lies with the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard software/driver compatibility with 24H2. With the software installed the scroll wheel no longer works after a reboot. If you install the software and start using the mouse its OK, but not after a reboot. The mouse works, its just the scroll wheel does not.Remove the software and the mouse works just fine, naturally one cannot use the customization features in the software but the standard mouse options are there in control panel.https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/problem-w

There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

 

Why does Windows 11 get slower and worse with every update?

I've never experienced such slowness on the update to Windows 11 24H2. This Dell Precision laptop laptop was built to avoid all the Steps to Improve Windows 11 Performance mentioned above. This is on you Microsoft.

Windows 11 24H2 is now shipping on new Copilot+PCs. However, Microsoft has not announced when it will be released for other Windows 11 users. By all accounts, it will be a significant update.
