Windows 10: Problem with MS Money 2005

I have a client who wasusing MS Money 2005. Her PC went south so I backed up all her data andreinstalled Windows 10 Pro. She had just done a backup of MS Money beforeI got the machine and I did one as well. That is I specifically copiedthe file. She did a backup, I copied the file. Both her backup andmy copy were visible before the reinstall. BTW I did the reinstallbecause windows was an absolute train wreck. Nothing worked and everyattempt I made to fix a problem hit a roadblock. I think she was hacked,but I'm not sure. Any

MS MONEY 2005

I was using MS Money 2005 with Win10 and then had a problem running the program - "the system cannot find file specified wkerning.dll".

I uninstalled MS Money 2003 from CD but cannot find the link to download MS Money 2005? Can anyone advise please?

 

MS Money 2005 Update

To provide an update on the problem that I was having (couldn't run MS Money 2005 after a Windows Update), I tried most of the solutions suggested on this page and on another website without any success. At this point, I'd reconciled myself to not having a solution and moved on to using MS Money from another PC (not ideal, but at least it worked there). This has been the situation for the last 4-5 months.

Then, a couple of days ago, my PC did another major Windows update to v1903 (took about 6-7 hours to upgrade) and then, lo and behold, MS Money was working again. I didn't touch anything else, so I'm pretty sure it was the update that fixed it. Still think something was locked under the old version which caused the issue but, whatever it was, this has made my day!

MS Money in Windows 10

I've been using MS Money 2005 and just bought a new computer with windows 10. I want to load MS Money Sunset, but it tells me that I need internet explorer 7. Do you suggest that I follow the steps you've outlined prior to installing MS money in order
for it to download? Ore their other steps I need to do?
