Windows 10: Problem with my cddvdw drive not recognizing media.

here is the log excerpt. I don't understand what the issue is and I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Whether the drive has failed, and needs replaced or it is simply a configuration or software issue. Thanks.

No longer recognizes CD/DVD drive


Since receiving the Win 10 Home upgrade my computer no longer recognizes the DVD drive. It doesn't show in Device Manger or in the device list in This PC although it does spin up if you insert media into it. I've tried all the suggested remedies except messing with the registry and nothing works. This is one of several problems I've had with device drivers since the upgrade.

a media drive is an external hdd that has software on it enabling you to just plug it into your tv and watch videos/play music etc

i would suggest ebay for that sort of money tbh
