    Can not display this video mode optimum resolution 1280×1024

    i want to connect my dstv decoder to a dell monitor but i get can not display this video mode optimum resolution 1280×1024... what seems to be a problem?

    After having Upgraded to windows 10, my monitor shows the following message : “Cannot Display This Video Mode” “Optimum Resolution 1280×1024 60Hz”

    I have upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 yesterday...

    Unfortunately, i'm stuck : just after the logo of windows appears for few seconds, my monitor shows the following message : “Cannot Display This Video Mode” “Optimum Resolution 1280×1024 60Hz”.

    I have tried to find solutions on this site, but nothing works. When i restart the computer with either SHIFT, F8, or SHIFT+F8, the computer start normaly and the same message shows up : “Cannot Display This Video Mode”.

    I must say that i am very disappointed since Windows has tested all hardware before allowing the upgrade.

    Dear microsoft developper, setting to high resolution mode by default is a mistake since all monitor does not support high resolution...

    Any suggestion? (not shift at start or F8 or shift+F8 : already tested and it doesn't work)

    EDIT : this is not a "black screen" issue but (according to the error message) a video resolution issue.
