    Problem with noise suppression and acoustic echo cancellation.


    So i have a problem with my microphone bcs my friends hear everything, my pc sounds and themselves. My microphone is picking up all my PC sounds. I read that you have to turn off the stereo mix but it didn't help. Then I read that you need to enable noise suppression and the elimination of acoustic echo but the problem is, when i enable even 1 of them my microphone stop working. I have to put my microphone in my throat to let it detect my voice. I've checked drivers too. I don't know where is the problem. "Listen to this device" is unchecked too.

    Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version [archive]

    I have problems with the audio driver. Maybe someone can give me advice.
    Earlier I used Win7 and such settings of a microphone: volume 100%, microphone boost +20 dB and “Noise Suppression” and “Acoustic Echo Cancellation” were turned on. I had an excellent sound! Now I use Win10 with Driver version 6.0.1.7687 (I tried also other versions) and now my microphone have noise.
    I tried to choose the best settings and now use vol 90%, boost +10 dB, “Noise Suppression” and “Acoustic Echo Cancellation” is on. But I still have noise. If I put the microphone boost of +20 dB, then get very loud noise. It seems that in the driver for Win10 "Noise Suppression" feature works not as in Win7.
    Do you know which version of the driver "Noise Suppression" feature working as in Win7? (Maybe some kind of early version of the driver for Win10.)

    This is the way I solved the "I'M SORRY, I DIDN;T GET THAT" problem.

    1. Go to sound settings

    2. Select your microphone

    3. Go to PROPERTIES

    4. Select ENHANCEMENTS tab

    5. Uncheck the following boxes

    DC offset cancellation

    Noise suppression

    Acoustics Echo Cancellation

    6. click OK

    This is what fixed Cortana in my computer

    Hi,

    Despite what Samsung told you, the "Echo Cancellation" setting is a Samsung specific feature that they added to the phone. Each vendor can customize the phones with hardware specific functionality. HTC has "Beats" audio enhancement on their phones, Nokia
    has their PurView camera hardware.

    Windows Phone 8 does not have echo cancellation as a platform feature. On the MSDN forums there is a

    post by a Microsoft engineer     who explains that phone hardware isn't powerful enough to do echo cancellation.

    Typically real time audio processing is handled by dedicated digital signal processing (DSP) chips. Samsung uses the Qualcomm Hegagon DSP chipset on the ATIV. If Samsung wont address the problem, I would suggest returning it and getting a Lumia instead.
