Windows 10: problem with start icons

for a long, i could pin any folder or app in the start menu, but lately no additional app can be added to the list, i don't know if it's a problem of my device or it's an update from microsoft. please tell me what's wrong?

Super tiny icons within tiles on Start screen

Hi. Same problem here. Affects just Outlook+Word+Excel+Powerpoint Online, etc. All just 8x8 pixels. Within Start tile, and Start apps list. No other icons affected. So the generic icon resize here not applicable. Tried icon cache rebuild, no change. Looking like a M$ cockup, no? Suggest remove the Solved flash from this thread, no solution as yet exists.

• Are you trying to hide icon in the task bar.

If yes I suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Type in search bar “Turn system icons On or Off”.
• Select the option “Turn system icons On or Off”.
• Turn off the icons which you want to hide.
