Hello,I have a Macbook Pro 16 inches and I think it's a bit heavy, that is why I have recently bought a new laptop which is more compact and light Asus UX325E, windows 11, with 2 Thunderbolt 4 connections.I tried to connect it to my Studio Display screen Mac, however, my laptop cannot detect the studio display as a second screen but the battery can be charged, and my studio display can play sound once I launch a video, but just no image.I tried to connect it with my old Asus laptop with the same Thunderbolt cable but it works with image.I have updated all the software from my windows 11.Ma

Apple Studio Display - Laptop Thunderbolt 4 failure

We have the recent Apple Studio display. We have Apple computers so in that regard it communicates better.

I tried plugging in my windows 10 laptop with thunderbolt 4 ports to use it and I believe it's somehow damaged the thunderbolt ports or that something has become corrupted. It detects camera, mouse, keyboard but not the external display. Additionally, when connecting to other displays (ViewSonic) through a dock, same way, it detects all equipment but does not detect the display.

I've completely factory reset the computer and still same response. The computer is essentially new.

Has anyone experienced this? Am I missing some obvious detail? Help!

I get a DisplayPort malfunction error message which is concerning because it's a thunderbolt connection all the way across.

The laptop is a Razer Blade 15.

The Studio display has thunderbolt 3 connections.

Apple Thunderbolt display always "Not connected"

I have a Matebook X Pro Signature Edition, with a thunderbolt port, running Windows 10 Home v2004.

I am trying to connect an Apple Thunderbolt display. I am using a thunderbolt 2 to thunderbolt 3 adapter.

Using the "Thunderbolt Software" app, I can see "Apple Inc, Thunderbolt Display" as an attached device to Port 1. It is listed as "Not connected".

Even if I use that same app to approve the device, it continues to list as "Not connected" and unapproved. I've run the "Thunderbolt software" app as administrator.

Any assistance gratefully appreciated.
