Windows 10: problem with the Microsoft defender antivirus antimalware KB5007651 Version 1.02303.27001

I believe this update isn't installing properly on my laptop for some reason. I check for updates when I notice my videos start having constant problems and this was the main update on the list. I noticed that it kept getting installed since every time when I clicked the check for update buttons it pops up and installs over and over again like it never was in the first place. I've already tried to uninstall it, but it doesn't show up. I've tried to upload a picture, but it didn't work.

New Defender Antimalware Client Version

Finally received the new Defender Antimalware Client Version 4.18.1908.7 which cures the sfc /scannow errors which have been widely reported in these forums in various threads. Ran sfc /scannow -- no integrity violations found. The new version is also on the Microsoft Update Catalog under kb4052623.

 

How to manually download the latest version of Windows Defender antivirus antimalware client version?

I am aware that windows defender antivirus antimalware client version automatically download itself to the latest version as a part of windows updates. But i have paused windows updates for 35 days. Is there a way to manually download the latest antimalware
client version now?

 

New Defender Antimalware Client Version

Hi there.
I am responsible for three Windows Server installations. Two Server 2016 and one 2019. On all three this new Win Defender 4.18.1908.7 refuse to install. On Win 10 client, no problems, but on Servers - NO!

No third party antivirus and previous defender updates located in "new" path C:\ProgramData\... have worked.
It seems like the directory C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\platform\4.18.1908.7-0\ is created with the wrong permissions. Any clues anybody?
