    Problem with the searches on an blank tab of Microsoft Edge


    Hi

    In Windows 10 v1511, when I open a new blank tab in Microsoft Edge and I write on it any word and I press Enter, the browser tries to load the http://<searched_word> page rather than performing a search with the default search engine. Why?

    All kinds of things have stopped working on my laptop

    All kinds of things have stopped working on my laptop - Microsoft Edge has blank tabs and won't search, Cortana doesn't work, Outlook won't update; Google Chrome works and I can open webmail with that but no attachments will download.

    Hello, my windows search engine won't search for anything when I pull it up. I press the window simple or mouse over it, type in something and it just stays there with no activity and a blank search. Can you help ? Thanks in advance.

    Does this happen all the time or is it intermittent? Although I have experienced this before I can't reproduce it at the moment.

    I had this, if its the same its a setting in IE that affects Edge, open IE and click the cog wheel at the top right and then select manage addons, make sure the following is ticked
