Windows 10: Problem with Type-C Combo Port Windows 11, Moment 4 functions

Hello. After installing the update KB5031455 build 22621.2506 or KB5032190 build 22621.2715, the Type-C port stops working. The laptop has a combined Type-C port USB 3.1 Gen 2 / Thunderbolt™ 3. There are no issues with other USB-A ports. If, before turning on the laptop, for example, insert the cable from the phone into the Type-C connector, then the port works until the first disconnection. When the update is rolled back, the Type-C port works correctly. In the device manager, it can be seen that when the Type-C USB cable is connected, the "PCI Express Downstream Switch Port" do

There are similar problems here and here, as well as in the Microsoft feedback center and on Reddit, there are similar problems with the combined Type-C port from different laptop manufacturers.

Write a review about the problem to the Microsoft feedback center and to the support service of the laptop manufacturer.

 

USB Type A ports not working after updating to Windows 11

Hi, since updating to Windows 11 (Dell Latitude 3410) my USB Type A ports have stopped working (Power and Data transfer). My Type-C port works fine. I've tried literally every single thing suggested on the forums and many other websites (You name it I've tried it) to no avail. Driver updates, reinstalling, Windows Update, sfc /scannow, DISM, resetting device, Running Dell SupportAssist to update all drivers, Running Intel Driver and Support Assistant etc. etc. No drivers are detecting any problems.

Please can anyone advise me on the next steps or more possible solutions.

 

The Moment 4 update makes it impossible to use Type-C in a laptop

After today's update, Type-C (USB 3.1 Gen2) stopped working in the laptop, but Thunderbolt 3 is working properly on the same port.

The port in the laptop is a combined Type-C (USB 3.1 Gen 2 / Thunderbolt ™ 3).

In the device manager, you can see that the Type-C device does not rise.

There are no problems with regular USB-A ports.

Before the update, the port was working properly.

Solved the problem by rolling back the update.

Now the Type-C port (USB 3.1 Gen 2) is working properly.

Please inform the developers about the problem of the combined Type-C connector (USB 3.1 Gen2 / Thunderbolt 3).
