Windows 10: Problem with W11 license on laptop I bought?

I bought a used Dell Latitude 5590 laptop on ebay that came with Windows 11 RTM Professional Retail. I am concerned there might be a problem with the operating system, because I saw some to me red flags / unexpected results please see attached pictures: 1 wmic command does not give a product key either as regular user or admin. Why no result? 2 ShowKeyPlus app says “Default Key - requires a Digital License for activation”. What does that mean? 3 System / Activation says “Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account”. Linked to the seller’s Microsoft

License expiring on a laptop bought on ebay

Hi all,

I bought a 'opened but never used' laptop on ebay, advertised as having genuine windows 10 pro.

After about a couple of months use at home I started getting the license will expire message. The option I have is to change product key and its saying its activated using your organisations activation service.

There was no product key sticker on box or laptop and was not supplied in any form to me. I just started using laptop assuming all is set up and correct.

I messaged user on ebay and they are suggesting i buy a key off another ebay user - for a couple of quid - which sounds very fishy.

Is the problem fixable or have I bought a dud?

Bought a new laptop. Is it supposed to have a Retail License or Generic Volume License Key?

I bought a new laptop an year ago. Now I get the err that my windows license will expire soon. I've checked out some suggestions based on this and apparently I have
Generic Volume License Key. I want to know, whether I'm supposed to have a
Retail License if I bought a new laptop? or is it okay to have
Generic Volume License Key.

Please help me.

 

Do I need a new license in order to downgrade from W11 to W10?

i bought a new Laptop and it arrived from W11 (i do not remember what edition) if i want to downgrade back to W10 home edition do i require to require to purchase a new license?
