Problem with Windows 10 USB ports

    Hello,

I have a problem with the usb port expansions:

    1. Inserting usb devices (even directly after rebooting the laptop) with storage devices such as pendrive, usb hard drives means that either this device will be read correctly or not. It is completely accidental.

    2. When the storage device has not been read, then the message:

    "
The system can not load the driver for the device for this equipment because the previous device driver instance is still present in memory (Code 38).

The driver can not be loaded because its previous version is still in memory.

    "

    3. In contrast, if the storage device is connected to the usb port during a restart, then the device is correctly read.

But there is an additional problem with the safe disconnection of such a device, because there is no option to safely disconnect the device.

    4. In connection with this, I have a request for help in resolving the abovementioned problems:

    - why the usb ports do not read the storage devices properly?
    - Why is the option of safe removal of the equipment inactive?

    5. In addition, I am sending screenshots regarding the above problems:

    6. Information about the Windows system:

    - Windows 10 Home
    - Version 1803
    - Installed on 14/05/2018
    - Compilation 17134.376

I am asking you for help in solving the problem.

    Regards.

    :)

  2. USB Ports

    Hi Homer,

We'd like to ask a few questions to help us isolate this problem.

    • Have you tried connecting your device tracker to a different USB port on your computer?
    • If so, was it detected?
    • Did you receive any error messages?

To address this issue, we suggest that you follow the troubleshooting steps shared by Praveen Venogupal on this

    link
    .

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.

Click next/OK as required to complete installation. Repeat the steps for all Intel USB devices. Finally click on each USB root device and press DEL to delete it, reply YES when asked. After deleting all USB root devices restart the computer.

I hope this is detailed enough...

Problem with Windows 10 USB ports

Windows 10 upgrade problem, no input accepted

I really hate having to come here and ask for help, but I really am stumped. It hurts my geek pride. I have a PC with fairly modern hardware in it. It has a p8p67 pro in it. I have tried upgrading windows 10 on it twice now. Both times I have had the same result.

After windows finishes upgrading it goes to the log in/set up screen. I can't do anything. No keyboard or mouse input is accepted.

I will list some, or hopefully all, of the troubleshooting steps I have tried:
    • Move keyboard and mouse to different USB ports.
    • Try different keyboard or mouse.
    • Restart computer, repeatedly.
    • Google for related issues.
    • Update Bios, because why not.
    • Create boot media and revert to windows 7.
The windows 10 system restore boot media works fine with keyboard and mouse. All USB ports work in windows 7. I don't know what is wrong. I suspect that windows 10 is lacking a driver of some sort, but since the computer accepts no input I have no way of checking for which driver let alone installing it.

Please help me figure this out. If I have to revert back to windows 7 again, I am not going to get it upgraded to windows 10. Thank you in advanced.
