    Problem with Windows Icons in many softwares


    Hi there!I have encountered an problem with windows 10, where many default icons are shown as rectangular boxes.Sometimes I cannot even recognize the icon.Please help me resolve this issue. I can't afford a fresh intall, because It takes too much time to set-up all the softwares and whatnot.Thanks in advance.Attached here is an example of the problem:

    Problem with Windows Icons in many softwares

    Remove Linux Desktop Icons

    I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.
