    Problem with Windows Inflating Size of Excel & Word Significantly


    Hi everyone,I would be grateful for someone's help.I have found that all my Excel and Word files including the small files have increased in size significantly even when no changes have been made. I always check the file sizes when opening the files when going to File > Info and checking the file size under properties.The file sizes originally matched that reported in the explorer window but now I have found they have increased significantly, including files which I have not made further changes to. One such file was originally 13.6MB and is still reported as such in the explorer window.

    Excel and Word page size

    I cannot select an Excel or Word document page size = Legal (8.5X14). The Legal Size option has disappeared. How do I get it back?

    I cannot open any of my Office files; Word, Excel, Powerpoint

    I am working in Windows 10 home version 1909.
    Can not afford an upgrade.
    My Office files are old, dont know what version.
    Cant remember how I updated this laptop to Windows 10 months ago.
    PROBLEM:
    I can not open any of my Office files; Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
    I looked for my Windows old file as suggested, and it IS gone.
    Haveing a small breakdown, will step away and return in a few...ANY DIRECTIONS AND ANSWERS WOULD BE GREAT!!!!!! PLEASE WRITE THEM IN STEP BY STEP FORMAT. Thankyooouuuuuuuu!

    Dave,

    I was incorrect is writing that I could no longer create an 8.5X14 Word or Excel document or print one that was already created as an 8.5X14 document. In fact, I can create and print an 8.5X14 Word document, just not an Excel. Even an Excel that was created years ago as an 8.5X14, no longer opens up as an 8.5X14.

    The problem is not with the printer, my wife's laptop still prints an 8.5X14 on the same printer. I am thinking that problem is that some "Up-date" has changed my Excel and robbed me of being able to create or open an 8.5X14 Excel document. Again, Word documents are fine. I am running on Windows 10.
