  1. Problem with Wireless adaptor or access Point

Bought a new Gaming PC - It connects to my home internet for periods at a time. Shortly after connection it will disconnect and then refuse to connect to the internet until a troubleshoot has been completed and resolved the issue. The trouble shoot produces: “a network cable is not properly plugged in or may be broken- detected” and “problem with wireless adaptor or access point - fixed”.It will reconnect to the internet before it soon after disconnects again. I don’t have a network cable as it wirelessly connected to my home internet. My phone, TV and other devices remain connected to the wifi

No Wifi after Windows 10 update from 8.1. "No Internet, secured" and "Problem with wireless adaptor or access point"

    Hello,

I have an Acer Predator G3-605 pc and the Qualcomm Atheros AR5BWB222 adaptor. After upgrading to windows 10 I am getting no internet.

    I have tried:

    • Uninstalling the wireless adaptor and reinstalling with the latest driver and rebooting
    • Clean booting Windows
    • Connecting to multiple wifi networks which have different routers and configurations

I can connect to some wireless networks but I get the message "No Internet, secured". The networks are working fine for multiple other devices, so that isn't the issue.

When I run the diagnostic tool, I get the two following issues:

    • "Problem with wireless adaptor or access point"
    • ""Wi-Fi" doesn't have a valid IP configuration"
Any help would be appreciated, I don't know what else to try.

  3. Configure Wireless Access Point

I have an existing network using a Buffalo N300 wireless router configured as 192.168.11 and 255.255.255

I have recently purchased a Sony Bravia TV with internet capability and would like to connect a second router – the Belkin F5D-8233 – as an access point for the TV. As I already have the router, it is cheaper than me purchasing the Sony wireless dongle.

Essentially, the Buffalo is connected to my PC in one room and provides the internet access. The Belkin would be in another room, connected via Ethernet to the TV.

I have set the Belkin up to use 192.168.11.10 with the same SSID and security settings as the Buffalo. I have also set it up as an Access point.

I have connected the Belkin and the Buffalo together via the Ethernet LAN ports to try and do an initial configuration but I cannot see the Belkin when I do this even though the LAN ports light up.

Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to configure the Belkin so that it gets internet access wirelessly in the other room?

I have been able to confure the TV so that it sees and connects to the Belkin but obviously this is of little use unless it can connect to the internet through that connection.

    Thanks, any help appreciated.

Problem with Wireless adaptor or access Point

    Wireless adaptor not working?

This is the basic desktop specs I have

    Dell Inspiron 660 Desktop 3rd gen Quad Core i5-3340 3.1Ghz 12G

It looks like I may have bad wireless adaptor card even though the windows diagnostics show it is fine. It is able to detect one of my routers (have 2 in the house) but is unable to connect. Had reset router multiple times and other computers in the house are able to pick up and connect fine. What are the steps/tests I should undertake to confirm the wireless adaptor card is the problem. Can I replace it myself, am ok with basic troubleshooting. Will be glad to provide more information. Please advice.
