Windows 10: Problems activating windows

Hey everyone,I bought my windows 10 license less than a year ago and activated it on my PC and linked it to my Microsoft account the one I'm posting fromI am on a different PC now, and no longer have access to the old PC. I still have the disk it was installed on, though it has been formatted and overwritten several times since. Before switching PC it seems I didn't complete some necessary steps for transferring my digital license to a new machine, as I assumed my digital license would be tied to my Microsoft account and there would be no issues.The activation troubleshooting wizards lead me

I suggest you to activate the copy of Windows 10 via phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select your Region/Country.
• Select the Phone Activation option, and hold on for a real person.

To run Phone activation please follow the steps below:

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.
