Windows 10: Problems after Driver Verifier run

I just had gotten a "screen of death" where CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED on my Surface Pro 2017. So I researched, and ran sfc /scannow. It detected problems and told me to restart. But lazy me, before I restarted, I wanted to try other problem solving methods to avoid multiple restarts, and I ran the Driver Verifier. I had no idea what I was doing, and only later learned you shouldn't really be running it if you're a normal user. So I selected the option for all drivers of my PC, and clicked Finish. Then I restarted, and upon startup, gave me a "screen of death" with DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION. When I started up next time, the "screen of death" didn't popup right away, but my fan was running at full and my system was very slow. When I opened my browser to research problems, the screen came again with same error message as above. So I restarted again and immediately ran verifier /reset in terminal. Since then, my PC is running smoothly as always. I tried running sfc /scannow again but it didn't detect any problems.


So now I'm aware that there are problems with my drivers and I just turned of the "checker". What are these problems? How can I solve them? I already tried updating my Intel Graphics driver but I was latest version. Is there any damage done to my PC?

From what I gather the methodology is to run driver varifier to try and get any "bad" drivers to crash my system. Is this correct? What would be the next step after driver verifier crashes my system?

Correct.
Hopefully your system will crash and a memory dump will be generated, a new zip from the DM Log Collector is requested so we can analyze the dump to see what driver is causing problems.

 

 DRIVER VERIFIER

Disable driver verifier and upload a new zip after another crash has occured, assuming another crash occurs.

To disable driver verifier:

• Open an admin command prompt
• Enter "verifier/reset" (without quotes)
