Windows 10: problems configure connecting remote to hyper v server

Hey Guys,iam a trainee in IT in my second year and for the next half year of my traineship. So next half year i try to learn as much as possible about windows client/server. I set up a BareMetal-Hyper-Visor with Hyper V 2019 and now wanna connect to it remotley with my Windows 10 Client. I followed instructions here: Both Computers are in the same Workgroup called hyper and i enabled on both machines ping. Both machines can ping each other. From the network side everything looks ok. The Computers are still not in a domain, because i want to virtualize the domaincontroller on the Hyper Visor.

Hyper-V Manager Unable to Connect to Remote Servers in Windows 10

I recently upgraded from Win 8.1 Enterprise to Win 10 Enterprise. I had Hyper-V Manager installed to connect to a few Hyper-V hosts running on Windows 8.x. After the upgrade on my machine, I can no longer connect to the remote Hyper-V hosts.

• All Machines are part of the same domain.
• This worked prior to the upgrade.
• Verified that all the Remote Administration and WinRM features were enabled in the firewall post upgrade.

Here's the error I receive:



I've googled this a bit and tried a suggestion about running winrm quickconfig. That ran through it's process but did not resolve the issue.

Any help would be appreciated! I need to get access to manage these hosts through the Hyper-V MMC.

HYPER-V Server 2016 - cant connect to server from Windows 10 remote

Hi there
I'm trying to create a VM on a HYPER-V 2016 server system.

The HYPER-V server installed OK, network seems working and gives IP address 192.168.1.12 and all the DNS stuff seems fine so networking should be OK and enabled remote access on both W10 and the server.

now trying to connect to server from Windows using the HYPER-V management console on W10.

Can't connect -- also windows Ping fails

any idea what's wrong here - I'd love to get this working. Have I missed something that needs to be done after install.
