Windows 10: Problems connect to a Miracast certified device after the Win 11 2024 2H update 12/30/24

I just "Microsoft'd" with the latest Windows 11 Update 12/30/24 version. For approximately 2 years, I have been running "Cast" from my PC to my Sony BlueRay/DVD player that supports Mircast. Very simple/easy and I was very pleased with how this worked.Ever since this Windows 11 update, I try and "Cast" to the same Sony player ... it finds the device in the list of Available Displays ... I click it to connect ... it says "connecting" so far so good ... but sits for a while and I eventually get an error message saying "Couldn't connect".I have updated the softwa

Connect a windows 10 device to Sony Miracast certified blu-ray player not working?

I recently purchased a Sony BDP-6700 Blu-ray player. This player has a Screen mirroring feature which is Miracast Certified.

When I try to connect my Surface Pro 3 (Windows 10 Pro) and or my Lumia 950 XL (Insider Windows 10 Mobile v14915), the connection fails. Any ideas???

When I connect to a screen, both my devices can see the BDP-6700 listed as available wireless displays.

I then select it to connect and get a "connecting" message on the TV screen shortly followed, a few seconds later, by a "cannot connect to this display" error on the SP3 and 950XL.

The Sony player is Miracast certified. I contacted Sony support and they sent me back to the Wi-Fi forum to check which device is certified. They guarantee that all Miracast certified devices should work with their products...

My 950 XL and Surface are not listed on the Wi-fi site as Miracast certified devices !!!

So the ball is in Microsoft corner...

Did anyone, with recent hardware (2016) and latest Windows 10 OSes, manage to connect to Sony Miracast Certified products ?

If so which one and how...

I really would like to be able to use my Blu-Ray player for 950XL Continuum and SP3 projection to my 55' screen! (my TV is not Miracast enabled).

Does Miracast support 4K?

We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
by following the steps below:

• Click Start, then go to Settings >
  Projecting to this PC.

Can't connect to the Internet after Win 11 23H2 Update KB5037591 May 2024

Dell XPS13 Running Windows 11 Home v23H2 last update KB5037591 May 2024

Connected to home wi fi with Killer WiFi6AX1650 Adapter, driver version 23.20.1.1

Browser Google Chrome V125.0.6422.141 updated June 2024.

Since the update, the laptop shows it is connected to the WiFi network, but any attempt to connect to the internet results in "Can't connect the internet" or "No internet". Run Windows troubleshooting from this screen returns "The DNS Server isn't responding"

Have run the suggested fixes including Reboot PC, Reboot Modem, Reset DNS manually, Try another browser (Edge), run Antivirus, disable antivirus. Still can't connect. Can't update drivers or clear DNS Cache without internet.

WiFi has been running smoothly with this device until the recent Windows 11 update. 5 other devices including HP Laptop (Win 10) and Samsung mobile devices running various Android versions are unaffected, so it is not a wifi/router/ISP issue.

Any other suggestions?
