Windows 10: Problems downloading update

I'm having errors downloading updates Home PC - Win 10, 1909, x64. They seem to start, but then slow down and hang. I've tried everything I can find online. Issue progression has gone something akin to:

- Microsoft store not updating apps. They'd show that the download would start, but then the bit rate would slowly drop to zero and it'd hang. Realized that this was happening on multiple accounts

- Realized that Win 10 Update was not processing correctly and that I had a large number of "failed attempts" in the Update History. Last successful update was around June of 2020.

- Ran Troubleshooter multiple times. At first it said it found an issue or two, but that didn't fix the problem. Tried disabling AV software as well. No luck.

- Tried downloading updates from the Microsoft Update Catalog page, but I'd get error messages saying that the file could not be saved

- Tried doing a Windows Reset. Problem still exists and now the "Type here to search" bar won't work. Appears / disappears quickly and cannot type in the field.

- Tried doing a "Fresh Start" reinstall. Windows Updates still start, but then hang. Current status:

KB2267602 - 75%

KB4569751 - Pending

KB4565351 - Pending

MS Malicious Software tool was in the list too, but I was actually able to download/install that from a Microsoft site. After doing that, it no longer shows in the Available Updates list. Running now....


- Update History currently shows 4 instances of "Failed to Install" for Microsoft Defender AV update KB2267602 with "Failed to Install - 0x8024000b


About to go PC Load Letter on this thing.... Any advice would be appreciated.

One question thou: you suggested me to Download the latest driver package from Nvidea. However, the link you posted is for the newly released GeForce GTX 760? Am I supposed to download the drivers for that card?

Sorry for my questions. As I said, I'm not an expert at all.

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft Community. I understand your Lumia 610 keeps getting stuck on step 6 of the update that you're trying to install. I can provide you a few steps to try in an effort to resolve the update issue.



There are a couple of different steps on a support page located at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2484484 that we'll want to try. I would suggest the steps for stuck in download mode, stuck at OEM splash screen, and error not listed on this page.



Before performing the suggested reset under the steps for error not listed, I would first suggest trying a soft reset. If you're able to remove the battery, leaving it out of the phone for a few minutes will soft reset the phone. Another option for performing
a soft reset would be to hold the power and volume down buttons until the phone has restarted completely.



Please let us know if any of these suggestions are helpful to your update issue.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
