Windows 10: Problems : edge failing, Modem losing config, email stopping, DNS faults.

Hi all, Ive got a challenge here !my pc is HP elite desk, running win 10 pro i7 . recently a lot of problems with edge not wanting to start up, and when it did, took a long time to load.am also getting lots of modem problems I am on BB cable INet via NBN AUS with TPG as vendor -there are frequent drop outs, frequent failure of IP config and most recently DNS fault ! Mail: up to recent ran Hotmail, have been moved to outlook. now Outlook is giving me a headache- i appear to have an app version free but MSoft are pushing us all to 365 and pay. tried going to thunderbird, again

Windows Losing DNS

I am not especially surprised but a new router hasn't solved my problem.

My PC is still occasionally losing DNS and my laptop is losing network connection during a daily backup.

I will keep working at this.

Next step is to go back to basics and switch off all devices apart from my router and test the backup, then just use my PC and router etc.

 

In game ping is high since dsl got reconnected

this was going to be my suggestion, trying alternate DNS servers

then the test is telling you the DNS server your modem and router are using is giving the best response times. they could still be the cause of the problem, however.
