Windows 10: problems in running slide show in lock screen

Since switching to windows 10 from windows 8.2 I have had problems in running slide show in lock screen. The slide show will only operate when the screen timeout setting is set to 1 minute. All other time settings give a black screen at timeout. Am I missing something?

Totally agree. My issue is in fact related to that. I was expecting the slide show to work and was wondering why it didn't start when pressing WIN+L.

But for me, it had nothing to do with slide show parameters or file indexing. It is due to the fact that what should start on the lock screen page: clock, notifications, cortana, and the slide show itself won't start (or be displayed). When pressing WIN
+ L and having nothing else displayed than a fixed image (no text above), we can't expect the slide show to start.

It works sometimes though, and the slide show is working well in this case. And I couldn't say how to reproduce the "no info on the lock screen" problem.

Could this be due to one of the app lock screen notifications I've selected? (weather, emails, skype, calendar, alarms, windows store)

 

I use the Lock screen but I do not use anything that can go with it such as slide shows or having aps appear on it. There is a setting in power for it maybe you should look at that in the CP??

The Screen setting in Power and Sleep is where I have set "When pluggedin, turn off after" to 1 minute. All other durations (2 mins to Never) give a black screen and no slide show.
