Windows 10: Problems Installing Software on Microsoft 10 Pro

I am trying to install the install payroll software for the new 2019-20 tax year.

The software requires the install to be made on each pc within my domain network, and then pull the shared files from the server, so I can have any of my team operate the system and their work is saved to my server.

The install completed with no problems on the other two pc's in my office, however it will not install on my pc.

I have successfully downloaded the install file, and run through the Setup Wizard until I get to the Install page, as soon as I select install the wizard ends prematurely, because of an error.

I have checked the msiexec under command prompt and everything is the same as the other pc's in my office.

I am operating as an administrator, and have tried running the install selecting administrator, but nothing I can think of helps.

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

keep in mind, as of recently, the FCU is installed on 5% of devices roughly.....

 

Can't upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro

I suggest you to download and create an installation media for Windows 10 Pro form the link provided below:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10

After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation
step. After the Operating System is installed, suggest you to activate by phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select the Region from the list and click Next.
• Call the Toll-Free number provided on top and can activate via phone.
