    I am attempting to install windows 8.1 from a usb onto an imac 2011. I have formatted the drive, and redownloaded the installer multiple times, but i keep ending up with the same error message of 'We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one'Any help would be appreciated

    Windows Install on iMac

    Greetings;

    I have a iMac Mid 2011 Intel Core i7. Running OSX 10.10.5 Yosemite with 16GB Ram & 748GB free space. I would like to install Windows 10 and then install Office Professional 2016. It appears I would not be able to install Windows via Bootcamp, as my machine
    is not listed as being supported. However, my iMac does meet the requirements to install Parallels Desktop 12. Would I be correct in assuming that after purchasing PD12, I could install & run Windows 10 that way?

    BSOD on mid-2011 imac running Windows.

    After installing Windows on a mid-2011 imac using a USB boot drive (the imac is too old for Bootcamp), I get a system_thread_exception_not_handled error with a BSOD.

    I can try to provide more information if needed but I am not sure what is relevant.

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
