Windows 10: Problems opening Programs

I recently uninstalled avast security and Cleanup Premium as they took up too much Memory. But after that some apps like VMware workstation pro and MS Edge are not launching. If I try to launch them from the start menu, nothing happens. No window pops up. But If I try to launch VMWARE from Taskbar, an Error pops up. A similar error Pops up for MS Edge. What should I do to fix'em.

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

Problem in opening files through other softwares

If the issue is with an app which is installed from Store, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the app and check if that helps. Follow the steps below:

• Right-click on the app in which you are facing the issue and click
  Uninstall.
• Open the Windows Store.
• Search for the app and click on Install.
  
• Check if issue persists.

If the issue is with a software installed, I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the program and check if that helps. Follow the steps below:

• Click on Programs and Features.
• Right click on the software in which you are facing the issue from the list and click on Uninstall.
• Restart the computer after its uninstalled.
• Now reinstall the program and check.

Program opening problem

I am a complete novice with computers and have a great difficulty in opening programs! I download the program , go through the exe and get the program into the computer but each time I try to open it I seem to get the exe again and a window saying " do you wish to remove the program before loading new?" !!! Any suggestions as to what I am doing incorrectly?
